Tucson Jazz Festival

January 11 – January 21, 2018

The Tucson Jazz Festival has become a destination for jazz fans from across the country. Our relatively warm weather brings these world-class acts, along with new winter visitors to our town. Featured acts include Sheila E., Spyro Gyra, Arutro Sandoval, and The Hot.

2nd Saturdays Downtown

Every 2nd Saturday this January, 2018

2nd Saturdays Downtown is a free, all-ages urban street fair with fun for the entire family. On the second Saturday of every month families can walk the streets of downtown.

Visit Tucson and enjoy the entertainment, restaurants, and sights from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Check out all the details here.

Outside Mullingar – Play

January 10 – February 10, 2018

Hosted by the Arizona Theatre Company, “Outside Mullingar,” is a Tony nominee for best play. Anthony and Rosemary are two introverted misfits straddling 40. Anthony is painfully shy and has spent his entire life on a cattle farm in rural Ireland. Rosemary lives right next door and is determined to have him – at all costs! She has every reason to fear a romantic catastrophe. But these yearning, eccentric souls fight their way towards solid ground and some kind of happiness.

University of Arizona – Centennial Hall

Hypnotic Brass Ensemble is a musical group comprised of seven brothers from the South Side of Chicago. Together they have toured throughout the world playing with everyone from Prince, Mos Def , Mick Jones (The Clash) and Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz).

Yevgeny Kutik

January 17th, 2018

Kutik is a Russian-American concert violinist whose career debuted in 2003 with an appearance with the Boston Pops. Since then, Kutik has appeared worldwide playing solo recitals and concertos with orchestras. His music features an old world sound with a modern intellect.

Momix

January 18th, 2018

Enjoy the magic of MOMIX and its signature illusionistic style in a show that depicts the landscape of the American Southwest, with soaring cacti, slithering lizards, snakes and frolicking insects. This is the perfect show for the entire family.

Frankie Vallie & the Four Seasons

January 21st, 2018

Frankie Vallie was catapulted into stardom after his iconic American Bandstand performance of “Sherry” with the Four Seasons in 1962. Classic hits and all time fan favorite songs like “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” are being rediscovered by new fans and cherished by audiences of all ages once again.

Chita Rivera

January 23rd, 2018

The incomparable Tony Award winner will recreate signature moments from her legendary career, including numbers from West Side Story, Sweet Charity, Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Bye, Bye, Birdie, The Rink and The Visit.

Bernstein Mass

January 26th – January 28th, 2018

One of Leonard Bernstein’s most ambitious works, “Mass” combines classical, Broadway, avant-garde and other styles into one large, cohesive work. Ultimately a work of peace, Mass explores the human condition in social and religious terms.
